2005 Family Reserve Claret, Yadkin Valley

Family Reserve Claret is our Meritage-style red wine blend produced from our best barrel lots. The 2005 vintage is only our third vintage of this wine and incorporates a much higher percentage of Petite Verdot than previous vintages. Extended barrel aging creates nice vanilla undertones. It is a robust and full-bodied red with hints of lavender, flavors of black currant and cassis with a graceful and elegant finish.
